Description
This custom 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS is powered by a Ram Jet port fuel-injected 454ci V-8 engine paired with a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a custom 9-inch Positraction rear end. The engine compartment features a smoothed firewall, body-colored inner fenders, custom-painted valve covers, a March Performance billet serpentine system, Sanderson long-tube headers, a full 3-inch exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers and a large aluminum radiator. It is equipped with power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes with slotted and cross-drilled rotors, a Ridetech air suspension system, tubular upper and lower control arms, front and rear sway bars and a four-link rear suspension. Finished in Silver Metallic, the body received replacement exterior trim, new front and rear bumpers, and a billet aluminum rear trim panel during the restoration. It rides on staggered 18-inch front and 20-inch rear custom Foose wheels with polished barrels and gray centers. The custom saddle leather interior was designed and built by Paul Atkins and features a custom leather-wrapped dashboard and center console, modified Lexus SC400 power seats upholstered in Mercedes-Benz leather, matching custom door panels, polished trim, aluminum speaker grilles, chrome door handles and window cranks, and a suede headliner. Additional interior features include a tilt steering column with a custom leather-wrapped steering wheel, Classic Instruments gauges, a Vintage Air climate-control system with custom knobs, a touchscreen head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and a custom sound system. The trunk was finished to match the interior and features a hidden compartment for the air suspension tank. It has been driven 73 miles since the build was complete.
