Description
This Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was completed on October 28, 1963, and sold new through the company’s Personal Export Delivery program prior to being shipped to the US. Chassis 880433 was later owned by the stepson of actor Sean Connery in New York before being sold in 2015. It was acquired out of Florida by the seller in 2023 following a period of disuse and subsequently underwent a cylinder head overhaul and rebuilds of its triple SU carburetors after being relocated to Arizona. Refinished in black with a tan soft top and leather upholstery, the car is accompanied by a body-color removable hardtop and powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six mated to a T5 five-speed manual transmission. It rides on 15″ wire-spoke wheels and is further equipped with Wilwood front disc brakes, triple SU carburetors, and a limited-slip differential. Inside, a Moto-Lita steering wheel is accompanied by Smiths instrumentation and a Kicker digital media receiver. This XKE Series I roadster is now offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, recent service records, and a clean Arizona title listing the car as a 1964 model. Series I E-Types were equipped with covered headlights and taillights mounted above the rear bumpers. This example left the factory finished in Pearl Grey with a black soft top and underwent a color change to black at some point under previous ownership. A replacement tan convertible top boot was sourced in November 2024, and the car is accompanied by a body-color removable hardtop.
