1965 Apollo 2+2

DescriptionApollo 2+2 body designed by Pininfarina, the body is hand-formed steel in Italy. Built by Intermeccanica. This Apollo was built after the run of 3500 and 5000 GT's and features a back seat and fastback rear-end styling. Featured in the 1965 NY Auto Show. It was garaged from 1966 to 1971 where it was found in a garage and purchased by our consignor. It's been in his hands for 48 years. In 1980 and 1981 this Apollo was restored and much-needed upgrades were installed. The front end that was used in '65 was atrocious with major limitations. A Mustang II front end was installed at the same time a rebuilt Ford 302 was installed for a much-needed power and torque boost. The interior and seats were redone along with the carpet. The body was taken down to bare metal and painted and wire wheels were added. This car has it all, sublime body lines, split bumpers on the front and rear, unique story and history.
