Description
This 1965 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk III is believed to have undergone a refurbishment circa 2000 and was subsequently issued a Gold certification by the Austin-Healey Concours Registry in 2003. Finished in white and red with a red soft top, the car rides on 15″ knock-off wire wheels and is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a Laycock de Normanville overdrive unit. Inside, 2+2 seating trimmed in red Ambla vinyl is accompanied by a wood-rimmed steering wheel and a heater. The roadster was acquired by the seller in 2024, and a replacement clutch assembly was reportedly installed in 2026. This 3000 Mk III is now offered with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, an Austin-Healey Concours Registry certificate, and a Georgia title in the name of the seller and their spouse that lists the car as a 1967 model. The car left the factory finished in black and underwent a color change to its current white and red color scheme as part of the aforementioned refurbishment. Further details include a replacement red soft top and top boot as well as a hood scoop and chrome bumpers with overriders.
