Description
This 1965 Chrysler New Yorker four-door sedan was purchased new by the current owner’s grandfather, who stopped driving in 1985. The car was stored indoors from the 1980s until mid-2026, when the carburetor was reconditioned, the radiator was rebuilt, the suspension and the brakes were serviced, and the fuel tank, fuel pump, water pump, alternator, battery, and tires were replaced. Finished in Formal Black over Turquoise cloth and vinyl upholstery, the vehicle is powered by a 413ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes styled wheel covers, whitewall tires, fender skirts, bench seating, woodgrain interior trim, and an AM radio. This New Yorker is now offered at no reserve in New York on dealer consignment by The_Dude_Abides—a BaT Local Partner —with manufacturer’s literature, spare parts, a recent service record, maps, and New York registration. The “six-window” Town Sedan design has fixed rear-quarter windows behind the rear doors. The car was finished from the factory in Formal Black (B). Its quadruple headlights are positioned under striped glass covers, and other exterior details include chrome bumpers, bright trim, fender-mounted turn-signal monitors, a driver-side mirror, rear fender skirts, and a concealed fuel filler. A six-year ceramic coating was applied to the exterior in preparation for the sale. Scratches, dents, and other imperfections are pictured in the gallery below.
