Description
This beautiful first-year 1964.5 Mustang Convertible was manufactured on June 24, 1964 at the Ford plant in Dearborn, Michigan. This vehicle was restored in the early 1990s and has been garage kept and well maintained by the current owner for 2 years, and the 2 previous owner since then. Every effort has been made to keep this Mustang as factory original as possible. It shows just over 30,000 miles, with the last 2,500 miles with the actual owner. Factory options include: power convertible top, F code engine, backup lights, long center console, power steering, seat belts, rally 5 lug wheels, dual exhaust, padded sun visors, heater, passenger side mirror, and rocket panel moldings. This Mustang has all of the 1964.5 "features" including generator charging system, large horns behind the radiator, brake light pressure switch, generator charge light in the instrument cluster, lack of hood molding, gas cap with no security cable, passenger seat bolted to the floor, no toe pad on the floorboard, driver's fresh air knob stamped with the letter "A" and "Off" centered in between the two possible fan speeds, door locks color-matched to the interior, and long oil dipstick on the passenger side. Drive-Ability : Feeling very much like a test drive from 1965, with fine acceleration, good tracking, respectable braking, and nice handling. This Mustang makes a great addition to any garage or collection and is perfect for car shows and cruise nights.
