1965 Ford Mustang Convertible

Call to discuss. Open to reasonable offers. 1) VERY early production "64.5" Mustang. It is the 5522nd Ford Mustang produced out of over 10 million Mustangs. Produced 3rd week, March 1964. 2) Likely one of the earliest 'performance' "D" code 289 4bbl convertibles made, not to mention in such a desirable color combination. 3) Highly original car, including original power steering and generator underhood, original rear quarter panels, and no modifications whatsoever. Even the exhaust was kept a single exhaust/muffler when replaced. 4) Optioned with PS, power top, console, AM radio, and also a Rally Pac with working tachometer. 5) Over $5000 in recent expenditures (receipts included) to ensure the car is as mechanically tight and like new as possible. Runs, drives, turns, and stops as it should. Starts with the flick of the key, idles excellent, and runs cool. This will not be a money pit for the new owner. 6) Paint and body are very nice and consistent, with only a few minor age-related chips. Shows very nice, with no rust issues or failing paint. 7) Interior is super clean, with no rips, tears, wavy dash pad, or other issues typical of aged out or neglected interiors. Just beautiful. 8) Power top is in excellent shape, extra clean, works perfectly, and comes with a red boot cover with all snaps in place. 9) Trunk, floors, and frame rails are all solid and appear original. 10) Engine bay is clean, original, and well looked after. 11) All chrome, stainless trim, emblems, etc are very nice.
