1965 Ford Mustang Custom Fastback

This custom 1965 Ford Mustang fastback is powered by a professionally built 427ci Dart small-block V-8 engine with aluminum Hammerhead Hemi cylinder heads, Borla eight-stack fuel injection and electronic ignition, backed by a Tremec TKO-600 five-speed manual transmission and Ford 9-inch Positraction rear end. Coated headers feed a 3-inch stainless-steel dual exhaust system. The chassis features Heidts Mustang II front suspension, Detroit Speed four-link rear suspension and coilover shocks. Braking is handled by 14-inch Wilwood disc brakes. It rides on Rocket Racing wheels with Redline radial tires. Custom bodywork includes a firewall moved rearward 3 inches, steel hood scoop, flush-fit glass, modified and tucked bumpers, headlight bezels molded into the fenders, custom-fabricated engine-compartment panels, modified taillight panel and lights, shaved door handles and drip rails, and custom underbody panels. The exterior is finished in dark gray with custom stripes. The custom interior is finished in red leather with Mercedes wool carpeting and features a modified dashboard, air conditioning, tilt steering column, custom gauges, push-button start and custom wiring.
