1965 Ford Mustang K Code Fastback

DescriptionK Code 289 Fast Back in Caspian Blue with the Luxury or Pony interior, White on Blue. This Mustang represents the ultimate collector Mustang for the mid 60's era. This very nice example is rust free, unmolested and correct. Original sheet metal due to it's life in the American South West. The whole car is very correct and unmolested. The engine does not have a VIN stamp, which is common for this year but the date code of 4M4 decodes as cast on December 4th, 1964. Given that this vehicle was built on or around January 13th 1965, this casting would predate the build of the vehicle within an appropriate time window. The engine has a non stock tri-power carb but this was a typical over the counter addition that was dealer installed. Caspian Blue was only available for one year and it shows so well with the white pony interior. GT package completes this Fast back with it's disc brakes, 4-inch fog lamps nestled in the grille, Five-dial instrument cluster (fuel, temperature, speedometer, oil pressure, amperes) "GT" fender badges, Bright-metal hood accent molding and the GT lower body racing stripes. Other options that this car is carrying is the Rally Pac, Red Stripe tires mounted on red cap chrome wheels. This car is well sorted and ready for immediate enjoyment. It's so well sorted that it ran 135MPH in the 2015 Sun Valley Road Rally.
