1965 Jeep CJ 5A

1965 Kaiser Jeep CJ-5A Tuxedo Park Mark IV A wonderfully honest vintage Jeep with the F-head four-cylinder, four-wheel drive, and exactly the kind of character you want in an old CJ. Platt Motors is pleased to offer this 1965 Kaiser Jeep CJ-5A Tuxedo Park Mark IV, an appealing driver-quality example that has been maintained and modified over the years rather than subjected to a cosmetic restoration. The Jeep identification plate is stamped 8322 12088. The owner identifies the Jeep as a 1965, and the California DMV is currently processing and mailing the title to him. Power comes from a Kaiser/Willys F-head four-cylinder engine paired with a manual transmission and dual-range four-wheel-drive system. The engine retains a wonderfully period appearance while benefiting from an alternator conversion and other service-related updates. This isn t a freshly restored show Jeep "and we wouldn t want to represent it that way. Its appeal is its honesty. The olive-drab body displays aged paint, exposed metal, surface corrosion, scratches, previous repairs and other imperfections consistent with decades of use. The underside likewise shows age and surface oxidation on the axles, suspension components, hardware and exhaust. Please review the extensive photographs for a detailed look at its condition.
