1965 Jeep Gladiator J-2500 Townside 4×4 Pickup 3-Speed

This 1965 Jeep Gladiator J-2500 Townside 4×4 pickup was registered in California before its 2020 acquisition by the seller, and it is powered by a 327ci V8 mated to a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission, a Dana 20 transfer case, and Dana 44 axles. Repainted in white over Kaiser-sourced gray fabric upholstery, the truck also features a receiver hitch, manually locking front hubs, powder-coated 15″ steel wheels, lap belts, crank windows, and a push-button AM radio. Work under current ownership is said to have included servicing the heater, drum brakes, and fuel and ignition systems as well as replacing the windshield, re-sealing the doors and windows, and changing the speedometer and instrument cluster circuit board. This Gladiator J-2500 is offered at no reserve with factory literature, service manuals, a yellow-on-black California license plate, and a Washington title in the seller’s name. The seller tells us that the truck left the factory finished in Empire Blue, and it was repainted white under previous ownership. Work in 2020 is said to have involved rewiring the trailer light connection, applying epoxy fiberglass to areas of corrosion on the bed sides, refinishing the tailgate and bumpers, installing replacement front turn signal lenses, and applying a POR-15 coating product to the underside of the bed as well as the inner tailgate, bed, and wheel wells. A replacement windshield was installed in 2021, at which time the door and window rubbers were changed. The tailgate is dented, the bed floor is wavy, and corrosion is visible on various surfaces.
