Description
This 1965 Lincoln Continental custom convertible is powered by a new 495hp LS3 crate engine paired with a new 6L80E six-speed automatic transmission. The two-year custom build was completed by Roger Burman, owner of Lakeside Rods & Rides. It features a custom-built Roadster Shop chassis with fabricated 10-gauge steel fully boxed frame rails utilizing the stock body-mount locations. The front suspension incorporates RS Rideline components, Fox SV front coilovers, a 1.25-inch mandrel-bent front sway bar with C6 Corvette end links and two-piece clamshell fabricated control arms. A Strange Engineering 9-inch Ford rear housing is fitted with stainless-steel 31-spline axles, an RS FastLink parallel four-bar rear suspension and RS SV coilovers. Four-wheel Baer disc brakes feature six-piston calipers and utilize a Tesla electronic master cylinder. Custom-built Raceline wheels have custom Lincoln center caps and are fitted with new Michelin tires. The laser-straight body panels were finished by Lakeside Rods & Rides in Ethereal Silver Frost, a Range Rover paint color. All chrome and trim is either new or redone. The power-retractable convertible top was redone and is functional. The full custom leather interior was completed by Starline Hot Rod Interiors in Omaha, Nebraska, and features custom Dakota Digital gauges, a custom center console concealing the switches and controls, a Bluetooth stereo system, Vintage Air climate control and custom European-style carpet. It also has power windows and locks. The car has been driven 220 miles since completion of the build.
