Description
This custom-built 1965 Lincoln Continental Sedan is powered by a brand-new 7.3-liter Ford Godzilla engine paired with a 6R80 6-speed automatic transmission. The no-expense-spared build was done by Thom Ophof of Saltworks Fabrication in Sarasota, Florida. The engine bay features custom panels and color-matched intake, valve covers and coil-pack covers adorned with Lincoln emblems. The car is equipped with air ride suspension and Wilwood power disc brakes all around. Purchased with 38,000 miles showing on the odometer, the car had virtually no rust and an exceptionally straight body. The body was stripped to bare metal and finished in Butterscotch with a $125,000 custom paint job. Exterior features include custom Curtis Speed wheels in a Lincoln-style design with whitewall tires, the iconic rear-hinged rear “suicide” doors, rechromed exterior trim and bumpers, quad headlights, distinctive flat chrome grille, chrome-ribbed taillights, chrome-trimmed knife-edge upper fender lines running the length of the car and a chrome windshield surround. The interior was completely redone with new brown leather, carpet and a headliner, with the trunk also refinished. Additional equipment includes power steering, power windows, air conditioning and a computerized sound system.
