This car has just been completed and presents as new throughout. All major components, suspension, braking, drivetrain integration, and interior were installed during this build. It has not lived a previous life as an older kit car — this is a current-generation Gen 3 chassis build, executed properly and finished to a high standard. The Type 65 Coupe is widely regarded as one of the most accurate and best-driving Daytona replicas available. It captures the unmistakable lines of the 1965 World Championship GT cars while incorporating modern engineering for reliability and drivability. Power comes from a 5.0L Ford Coyote V8 paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and Ford Racing Control Pack. The result is modern performance, clean engine management, and exceptional reliability in a lightweight chassis. The powder-coated Factory Five chassis was optioned with the 2015 Independent Rear Suspension system, Koni double-adjustable shocks, front sway bar, and a properly matched 31-spline driveshaft. Braking is handled by a Baer SS4+ big brake system front and rear, providing serious stopping power to match the Coyote’s output.
