Description
1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu "Smokey Yunick Tribute" A One-of-a-Kind Tribute to NASCAR Legend Curtis Turner & Smokey Yunick Some cars are fast. Some cars are rare. And then there are cars that tell a story.
This extraordinary 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu is far more than a custom muscle car—it's a rolling tribute to one of NASCAR's most legendary partnerships. Built to honor Curtis Turner's No. 13 stock car, prepared by the legendary Smokey Yunick for the 1967 NASCAR season, this Chevelle represents an incredible piece of American racing history.
What truly separates this car from every other tribute build is its remarkable provenance. The current owner first met Smokey Yunick in 1967 at his famous garage in Daytona Beach, Florida. Years later, in 1989, he received Smokey's personal permission to build this tribute. As the project came together, Smokey himself autographed the car in 1998 and again in 1999, making this not only an outstanding tribute but also a genuine conversation piece with a direct connection to one of racing's greatest innovators.
