1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Super Sport

Vehicle Description 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS $59,966 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, True 138 VIN Super Sport, Marina Blue, Rebuilt 396 Big Block, 4 Speed Manual This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is exactly the kind of classic muscle car enthusiasts look for: a true 138 VIN Super Sport with big-block power, a 4-speed manual transmission, excellent long-term ownership history, and a fresh mechanical restoration that makes it ready to enjoy. Finished in desirable Marina Blue with a black bucket seat interior, this Chevelle has the unmistakable look that made the mid-1960s SS cars so legendary. The color combination is classic Chevrolet muscle, and the car has the stance and presence that immediately separates a real Super Sport from an ordinary Malibu. Under the hood is a period-correct 396 cubic inch Big Block V8 that has recently been completely rebuilt as part of a full mechanical restoration. The engine features hydraulic roller components, giving it strong performance while improving drivability and durability. Paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, this Chevelle delivers the kind of raw, engaging driving experience that defines a true American muscle car. The car has benefited from extensive recent mechanical attention, making it much more than just a good-looking classic. The major systems have been addressed so the next owner can spend more time enjoying the car and less time sorting out deferred maintenance. One of the strongest parts of this Chevelle is its body and history. It retains its original floors and original quarter panels and is described as a solid car overall. That is an important distinction on any mid-1960s muscle car and adds significantly to its appeal. The paint presents well and looks good from a few feet away, but it should honestly be described as driver quality rather than show quality. That makes this Chevelle ideal for someone who wants a car they can actually drive, enjoy, take to cruise-ins, and use without being afraid to put miles on it. Adding even more character is the ownership history. The previous owner had the car for more than 40 years in Cocoa, Florida, giving this Chevelle the kind of long-term provenance that is increasingly difficult to find. This is not an over-restored trailer queen. It is a real 138 VIN Super Sport with a strong rebuilt 396, 4-speed manual transmission, solid original sheet metal, desirable colors, and decades of ownership history. Whether you are looking for a weekend cruiser, a local show car, or a true Chevrolet muscle car to add to a collection, this 1966 Chevelle SS represents a very appealing combination of authenticity, drivability, and classic big-block performance.
