Since this is such a legendary milestone in American power, it's awesome to have the numbers-matching L36 motor under the hood. And with the muncie four-speed, a fully independent suspension, Posi rear end, and four-wheel disc brakes, side pipes, this sleek roadster is the right mix of a true classic that you'll truly enjoy driving. This corvette has a thoughtful mix of preservation and good investments to keep the nostalgia. The trim tag tells us the paint is its original color Trophy Blue poly code 980. Rare color with only 1463 made with that color. Fun Details like white wall radial tires, knock off spinner wheels, correct 427 callouts, and side pipes. Overall, it has the kind of clean and crisp look that lets you know it revels in being a true classic. Inside, fresh blue leather seat covers have been fitted, and the color combination is timeless, elegant, and the archetypal Corvette look. Perhaps it's a link to our motoring past, but the way the twin cockpit Corvette interior invites you to drive is as much a part of the motoring experience as the hum of the engine or rumble of the side exhaust. A wood grain steering wheel feels great, transmitting the front tires' activities directly to your fingertips, and all the gauges show crisp markings that let you keep an eye on the engine's status. Black interior looks great against the silver blue exterior, and the trim tag tells us it's also factory correct. Someone has upgraded the covers to leather as originally they were vinyl. It has a deep and dark appearance on the seats, dash, headliner, and carpet for a nice classic style. You're again reminded about how this one loves to be a true classic with details like the vertical Delco AM/FM radio, power antenna and power windows. You get all the best driver's features, like the grippy thin wood-rimmed steering wheel, a full set of gauges with large speedo and tach, and a bright stick shift calling out for your right hand from within the darkness. If the weather turns, you'll have a black convertible top, but like most Corvette convertibles designed to play in the sun, we'll go out on a limb and guess it will stay neatly tucked away underneath the fiberglass boot. The 427 Corvettes are a true legend today. So you know it's special having the original numbers-matching L36 motor still living under the hood and looking fantastic. It has the bold orange block, matching valve covers, and an overall tidy style that looks quite stock. But don't forget, this one loves to be a driver. That's why it inhales deeper with the newer Holley 3310 four-barrel carburetor. The Muncie four-speed manual transmission allows you to dial in the performance and rumble of the dual exhaust. The fully-independent suspension holds the road better than some modern muscle machines, the Positraction rear end Is great for all-around driving, and the four-wheel disc brakes provide superior stopping power. With a gorgeous color combination, it's a very attractive, 427 roadster that's going to be hard to resist every time the sun is shining. It's a true Corvette of distinction, and it's looking for a true collector. Is that you? Call today!!! Read More
