Description
1st Generation G10 (1964 -1966) "SHORTY" restomod Van.
The 350 Small block engine is paired with a 200R4, 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission. The Dog House is a second gen. to accommodate the larger engine. . The front axle was rebuilt with new kingpins and a disc brake conversion with new master cylinder. The rear axle was rebuilt with a 4-link suspension by Moser Engineering. The posi-unit drive gear is a 336. All making for a great ride and excellent highway driving.
A floor shifter was added with a tunnel added on the floor for better air flow to to the radiator which is a Camero crossover with a fill tank added like the 2nd gen. set up. An electric fan was mounted to the custom fabricated belly pan that is controlled by a thermostatic switch in the intake with an override switch in the cab. These modifications thus eliminating the ever present overheating of the engine in most larger engine conversions in vans.
