1966 Ford F100 Patina Build

This 1966 Ford F-100 Custom Cab is exactly the kind of truck that gets people walking across the parking lot to take a closer look. It has the stance, the attitude, and the personality that make a custom classic pickup stand out, but what really sets this one apart is the way the entire build comes together as one complete vision. The patina theme is not an afterthought’it is the centerpiece of the truck, combining genuine age, natural character, and carefully executed artistic detailing into a look that simply cannot be duplicated.Under the hood is a Ford 360 FE V8, giving this F-100 real classic Ford power and the kind of vintage personality that fits the truck perfectly. The engine build features Cobra and other aftermarket competition-style components, adding the right amount of performance flavor without taking away from the truck's old-school feel. The engine bay has also been detailed to match the overall theme, so the presentation carries through when the hood is open. The truck sits with a lowered stance that gives it a more aggressive, period-inspired look while still keeping the original-style suspension configuration. It rides on a modern muscle-inspired wheel package with 17-inch wheels front and rear, giving the truck a strong road presence without losing its classic pickup identity. Braking is handled by a drum brake system, and the undercarriage presents clean and well maintained, showing evidence of careful ownership and preservation. The exterior is where this F-100 really separates itself. The yellow patina finish blends authentic weathering with artistic enhancements, aged chrome, distressed headlight treatment, vintage decals, stickers, graphics, and Ford Twin I-Beam themed details. Every surface feels intentionally considered, giving the truck a handcrafted, rolling-art character instead of simply looking weathered. It has the look’and more importantly, it has the details to back it up.One of the most memorable features is the fully customized bed floor, which has been covered with individually arranged license plates sourced from different states and eras across the country. It turns the bed into a rolling piece of Americana and gives the truck one of the best conversation-starting features you could ask for. Inside, the cabin has been fully restored and customized with premium leather seating, plaid-style inserts, new carpeting, a retro-style modern stereo, the original-style 1966 Ford F-100 gauge cluster, and a Moon Equipment tachometer mounted to the steering column.Key Highlights:1966 Ford F-100 Custom CabHighly detailed custom patina-themed buildFord 360 FE V8 engineCobra and aftermarket competition-style engine componentsDetailed engine bayLowered stanceOriginal-style suspension configurationDrum brake systemClean, well-maintained undercarriage17-inch front and rear wheelsYellow patina finish with aged and weathered characterVintage decals, stickers, graphics, and Ford Twin I-Beam themed detailsCustom license plate bed floor using plates from various states and erasRestored custom interior with leather seating and plaid-style insertsMoon Equipment steering-column-mounted tachometerRetro-style modern stereo systemThis 1966 Ford F-100 Custom Cab is more than just a classic truck’it is a one-of-one custom build with real personality.
