1966 Ford Mustang GT K-Code

Vehicle Description 1966 Ford Mustang $299,000 Stephen Becker Automotive Group is proud to offer one of the most significant and thoroughly documented 1966 Ford Mustang K-Code GT Convertibles known to exist.Fresh from a four-year concours rotisserie restoration completed for noted collector Bob Curry, this Mustang was selected as the cover feature of the July 2026 issue of Mustang Times, the official publication of the Mustang Club of America.Finished in its factory Raven Black over Ivy Gold/White Deluxe Pony Interior, this genuine factory K-Code High Performance Mustang is equipped with the desirable GT Equipment Group, 4-speed manual transmission, and retains its matching-numbers 289 Hi-Po V8, original transmission, and original rear axle.Ford built over 607,000 Mustangs in 1966, with only 5,469 K-Code Hi-Po cars produced. Fewer than 200 are believed to have been convertibles. Combined with its factory Raven Black paint, GT Equipment Group, Deluxe Interior, 4-speed transmission, matching-numbers drivetrain, and exceptional documentation, this example represents one of the rarest and most desirable production Mustangs built. The restoration was completed to concours standards while preserving the car's drivability. Every system was restored with correct factory finishes, fasteners, markings, and assembly details, including the correct red oxide primer underbody. Equally suited for concours competition, MCA events, or touring, this Mustang is both show-quality and road-ready.Accompanying the car is one of the finest documentation packages found on any 1966 K-Code Mustang, including factory paperwork, original ordering documents, window sticker, build documentation, historical records, and extensive supporting materials that firmly establish its originality and provenance.Powered by Ford's legendary 289 High Performance V8—the engine that served as the foundation for the Shelby GT350 program—this is an authentic factory K-Code Mustang, not a tribute or recreation.Factory HighlightsGenuine factory 1966 Mustang K-Code High Performance ConvertibleFactory GT Equipment GroupMatching-numbers 289 Hi-Po V8Original 4-speed manual transmissionOriginal rear axleFactory Raven Black exteriorIvy Gold/White Deluxe Pony InteriorFour-year concours rotisserie restorationCorrect red oxide underbodyExtensive factory documentation, including original ordering and build paperworkJuly 2026 Mustang Times cover feature carMCA show-quality presentationEligible for premier national concours and Mustang eventsExceptionally rare, highly documented, and fully drivable example
