1966 Sunbeam Tiger Mk 1A

This 1966 Sunbeam Tiger Mk 1A was acquired by the seller in 2020, and subsequent refurbishment work involved installing a replacement 260ci Ford V8, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an alternator, and electronic ignition. In addition, the car was repainted, the black vinyl interior was refreshed, and the front suspension, the brakes, the clutch, and the removable hardtop were overhauled and the wiring harness, weatherstripping, exhaust system, and the wood dashboard were replaced. Equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, 13″ steel wheels, bright hubcaps, front disc brakes, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. This Tiger is now offered with a certificate of authenticity from the Coventry Transport Museum, a binder of service records, and a Texas title in the seller’s name. Finished from the factory in Midnight Blue (58), the car has been refinished under current ownership. The seller notes that the vehicle was raced under prior ownership, and the front-end sheetmetal has been replaced with panels from a Sunbeam Alpine. Features include bright body-side trim, a bullet-style driver-side mirror, a flip-up fuel cap, Rootes Group quarter-panel emblems, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers with overriders.
