Vehicle Description 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu $65,967 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible, 383 Stroker V8, Tremec TKX 5-Speed, Ford 9” Rear, Vintage Air, The Ultimate Sleeper! If you are looking for a classic Chevelle Convertible that you can actually get in, drive, enjoy, and take just about anywhere, this 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible deserves a serious look. It combines the timeless styling of one of Chevrolet’s most desirable A-body convertibles with a strong performance drivetrain, modern upgrades, cold air conditioning, and the kind of reliability that makes owning a classic car fun. Under the hood is a powerful 383 cubic-inch Stroker V8 producing approximately 450 horsepower. This is not just a car that looks good sitting at a show — it has plenty of power when you put your foot into it and the drivetrain to properly put that power to the pavement. Backing the 383 is a Tremec TKX Close Ratio 5-Speed Manual Transmission, giving the driver the old-school experience of rowing through the gears while adding the major advantage of an overdrive gear for comfortable highway cruising. Whether you are running around town, heading to a local cruise-in, or taking a longer weekend trip, the 5-speed makes this Chevelle much more enjoyable to drive. Out back is a professionally built and painted Ford 9-inch rear end equipped with 3.70 gears. The Ford 9-inch has long been one of the most respected rear-end designs in the performance-car world, making it a great match for the torque and horsepower of the 383 Stroker. The suspension has also received attention with new springs and new shocks, while 4-wheel disc brakes provide significantly improved stopping performance. New Diamond Back redline tires mounted on classic 15-inch Rally wheels complete the look, maintaining a period-correct appearance while giving the car a great stance. One of the biggest advantages of this Chevelle is that it was built to be driven. It features Vintage Air Conditioning that blows cold, something you will certainly appreciate during warm-weather cruising. According to the previous owner, this car has proven to be extremely reliable and runs cool even during hot Florida summer days — exactly what you want from a classic that is meant to be enjoyed rather than simply parked in a garage. Inside, the car features a very nice Gold bench-seat interior that complements the exterior beautifully and gives the Chevelle a classic, upscale appearance. The interior is clean and inviting, and the car also features very clean floors and a very clean trunk, further reflecting the care that has gone into the vehicle. A RetroSound Bluetooth radio gives you modern connectivity and music capability without installing something that looks out of place in a 1967 interior. Raise the clean Black Convertible Top when the weather turns, or drop it down and enjoy exactly what a classic American convertible was designed for — open-air cruising with a V8 rumbling in front of you and a manual shifter in your hand. The exterior is finished in attractive Gold driver-quality paint. It presents nicely without being the kind of car you are afraid to drive, park, or enjoy. That may actually be one of this Chevelle's strongest qualities. You can take it to a car show, cruise night, restaurant, weekend gathering, or simply load up the family and head out for ice cream without feeling like the car belongs permanently underneath a cover. There are also tons of receipts documenting the work and upgrades that have been completed, providing valuable history for the next owner. What really makes this Chevelle special is its personality. At first glance, it appears to be a tasteful Gold 1967 Malibu Convertible with Rally wheels, redline tires, a bench seat, and classic styling. But underneath that traditional appearance is a 450-horsepower 383 Stroker, Tremec TKX 5-speed, Ford 9-inch rear with 3.70 gears, 4-wheel disc brakes, upgraded suspension, and cold Vintage Air. That is exactly why we call it the ultimate sleeper. It has enough performance to put a smile on your face, enough modern upgrades to make it comfortable, and enough classic Chevrolet character to make every trip feel special.
