Description
This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette coupe is powered by its original 427ci/435hp Turbo-Jet Tri-Power V8 engine mated to a close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear axle with 4.11:1 gearing. Factory equipment includes an AM/FM radio, tinted glass, special suspension and an Air Injection Reactor emissions system. The original tank sticker verifies this Corvette as one of 3,754 produced for 1967 with the 427ci/435hp Tri-Power engine. This Corvette is one of two featured in Tom Cotter's coffee-table book 50 Shades of Rust, in the story "A Pair of Forgotten Vettes," on pages 176-177. The car spent its entire life in California before relocating to Idaho, where it underwent a comprehensive body-off restoration in 2020. During the restoration, every component was inspected and restored, rebuilt or replaced as needed. The original engine was completely rebuilt and dyno-tested, producing 463hp on premium unleaded pump gasoline. The exterior was refinished in its factory Ermine White color with black trim, complemented by a black interior. Additional upgrades completed during the restoration include aluminum bolt-on wheels, power steering and an off-road exhaust system, enhancing drivability while maintaining its period-correct appearance. The Corvette has 63,204 miles (title reads mileage exempt), with approximately 1,100 miles driven since the restoration.
