Description
This 1967 Ford Mustang was converted from a hardtop and rebuilt as a Shelby GT500E-style fastback beginning in 2021. The build incorporates a 4.6-liter DOHC V8 from a 2004 Mustang SVT Cobra with an Eaton M112 supercharger, a modified supercharger pulley, and a custom ECU tune, with the builder reporting 635 horsepower. Power is sent through a six-speed manual transmission to an 8.8″ rear axle claimed to have 3.89:1 gearing, an Eaton Truetrac limited-slip differential, and 31-spline axles. The chassis uses TCI independent front suspension with coilovers, tubular control arms, dropped spindles, and power rack-and-pinion steering, and out back is a rear torque-arm suspension and air shocks. The car also features 18″ Motiv wheels, four-wheel discs, GT500E-style bodywork, and a custom interior based in part on SN95 Mustang components. Acquired by the seller in 2024, this Mustang is now offered with Georgia registration. The car features Shelby GT500E-style bodywork, including an Eleanor-style front fascia and hood, custom grille, auxiliary driving lights, functional-style hood openings, rear-quarter side scoops, rocker-panel extensions, Shelby-style rear body treatment, Super Snake badging, and custom exterior trim. The body was disassembled for bare-metal preparation before being converted from hardtop to fastback configuration with custom metal fabrication. The undercarriage was detailed and refinished in body color, and the engine compartment received custom finishing. Videos documenting the build process are included below.
