The V8 conversion adds substantial torque and a more relaxed, usable driving experience compared with the original inline-six, making this Land Cruiser an appealing choice for someone who wants vintage looks with stronger real-world performance. A tow package is also fitted, adding to its practicality and utility.Inside, the cabin remains simple and true to the FJ40’s rugged roots, featuring black bucket seats, a straightforward utilitarian dashboard, and the honest character expected of an early Land Cruiser. Also included is a brand-new, uninstalled set of rear jump seats from Cruiser Corps, stored since purchase, giving the next owner an excellent opportunity to add OEM-style rear seating. The original wheels and tires, noted at an estimated $1,200 value, and the new jump seats, valued at $886, further strengthen the overall package.A professional appraisal completed in December 2025 describes this FJ40 as a good, driver-quality example that remains largely stock in appearance aside from the V8 and transmission conversion. The appraisal notes average cosmetic condition consistent with an unrestored vintage Land Cruiser. Known blemishes include a rust spot below the driver-side door frame and paint imperfections in several areas. For the enthusiast who appreciates originality of character over over-restoration, this 1967 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 offers a compelling combination of early-production appeal, upgraded power, open-air enjoyment, and included original-style components.
