1967 Volkswagen Beetle

This 1967 Volkswagen Beetle was initially sold in California and remained under original ownership in the state through the current owner’s acquisition on BaT in March 2022 . The car was restored in 2010 and was updated since the previous auction with a high-performance 2,110cc flat-four, a rebuilt “Freeway Flyer” four-speed manual transaxle, an independent rear suspension, Bilstein dampers, four-wheel disc brakes, replacement weatherstripping and bright exterior trim, and a retrimmed black vinyl interior. Additional features include 15″ steel wheels, pop-out rear quarter windows, chrome bumpers, a Vintage Speed shifter, and a Sony CD stereo. This Beetle “sleeper” is offered at no reserve on dealer consignment with a clean California title. The body was refinished in white circa 2010, and an area of the roof was touched up with slightly mismatched paint in 2026. Exterior details include a driver-side mirror, quarter vent windows, pop-out rear quarter windows, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The headlight rings, window trim, fender beading, and window and door seals were replaced in 2026.
