1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 4-Speed

This 1968 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is said to have been acquired by the current owner in 1985 from a co-worker. A 350ci V8 installed under previous ownership was fitted with a COMP Cams Factory Muscle camshaft in June 2020. Work since 2024 has included retrofitting a transistorized ignition, installing a Edelbrock Performer four-barrel carburetor, and replacing the four-wheel disc brake master cylinder, calipers, and pads. The car has been refinished in white over dark blue. Additional equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, a black convertible soft top, retractable headlights, 15″ C2 Turbine-style wheels, a cassette stereo, and a cabin heater. This C3 convertible is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with an owner’s manual, a folder of records, spare parts, and a Pennsylvania title. The fiberglass body was delivered from the factory in International Blue (978) and was refinished in white under previous ownership, and again in 2018. The windshield, headlight wiring harness, and the side-exit exhaust were replaced during the 2018 work, while the black soft top fabric and assembly were replaced most recently in 2020. Exterior details include retractable headlights, chrome bumpers, and fender side vents. Noted cosmetic imperfections include cracking in the left taillight plastic lenses, a paint scuff on the leading edge of the nose, scuffing on the rear deck lid from contact with the soft top base, and chipping along the top edge of the driver’s door window glass.
