1968 Dodge Dart 426 Hemi GT Convertible

Vehicle Description 1968 Dodge Dart $72,995 "The hemi-equipped Dodge Darts of the late '60s had a thoroughly performance-centric identity to begin with, but this 1968 Dodge Dart Hemi GT Convertible takes things to a whole new level, while also wielding elite curb appeal that draws you in at first glance. The craftsmanship display on this classic is truly impressive, from its striking two-tone paint scheme that pairs high-impact yellow paint with black accents, to its thoroughly inviting interior, to the seamless incorporation of its array of top-tier mechanical upgrades. Aftermarket LED headlights with halo rings light up the path ahead, while a set of awesome 17"" Billet Specialties wheels adds an exclamation mark to this coveted muscle car's thoroughly entrancing appearance. The fully customized interior is very much in keeping with the overall ""refined, yet aggressive"" theme, featuring bucket seats that blend vinyl covers with suede inserts and a full-length floor console that positions the shift lever within easy reach. Up front, the dashboard has been reimagined, with a set of Autometer gauges in in its instrument cluster and a fully padded dash surround. Should the skies darken when you're out on the road, the accompanying black cloth convertible top stands ready to protect you from the elements and is nearly new. By all measures, this vintage Dodge is built for asphalt supremacy. Raise the scooped hood and you'll no doubt be impressed by the engine compartment, with its striking custom firewall and inner fender metalwork surrounding an iconic 426-cubic-inch Hemi engine. Already a thoroughly potent performer to begin with, the V8 has been bored out to a full 490 cubic inches, so it's now an absolute screamer and this Dart comes with the dyno sheets to prove it. Fed by a Holley Terminator X electronic fuel injection system, it's running in top form and having logged a meager 566 since its build, is really just emerging from its break-in period. It pairs with a 5-speed Tremec manual transmission, one of the few transmissions that could rightfully be trusted with its enormous output. Long tube headers merge into a dual exhaust that terminates in a pair of Flo-Pro mufflers, yielding a fittingly muscular tone with a tap on the accelerator.
