1968 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible

1968 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible Barn Find | Factory Black/Red | Hideaway Headlights Offered for sale is a highly original 1968 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible that was discovered after spending approximately 46 years in storage. Finished from the factory in black paint with a red side stripe and red interior, this Galaxie is an eye-catching and uncommon color combination. The car is also equipped with desirable hideaway headlights. According to the previous owner, the car was parked in a garage in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1980 and remained there until recently. I have extensive photos documenting the car's removal from storage and its condition as found. Since being pulled from storage, the following work has been completed: New fuel tank New brakes Four new tires The convertible top operates up and down, and the car starts, runs, and drives? . It appears to run well, although it should be considered a 46-year-old barn-find vehicle that may require additional sorting and maintenance depending on the buyer's intended use. The odometer currently shows approximately 90,000-99,000 miles, though total mileage cannot be verified. Condition This is an honest driver-quality survivor and project. Areas of rust are present around the rear wheel wells, along with some rust in portions of the trunk. The frame was repaired many years ago, reportedly over 46 years ago, and buyers are encouraged to inspect the vehicle carefully and make their own assessment of its condition. Title Information The car is being sold with a bill of sale only. It has not been titled or registered since it was last on the road in 1980. I do not possess a title and will provide only a signed bill of sale to the purchaser. Prospective buyers should research the title and registration requirements in their own state prior to bidding. The seller makes no guarantees regarding the titling or registration process. Summary This is a rare opportunity to acquire a true long-term barn-find 1968 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible finished in a striking factory black-and-red color combination. With its hideaway headlights, running condition, operating convertible top, and decades-long storage history, it would make an excellent summer cruiser, preservation candidate, or restoration project. The vehicle is being sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied. Inspections are welcomed ?
