1968 Jaguar XKE Series 1.5 4.2 Roadster

This 1968 Jaguar XKE Series 1.5 roadster has remained in the same family since the 1970s, when it was purchased by the seller’s uncle. Acquired by the seller in 2010 as a disassembled project, the car subsequently underwent mechanical refurbishment work, including a rebuild of its 4.2-liter inline-six with installation of an early Series I cylinder head and triple SU carburetors as well as a rebuild of the differential. The car is finished in blue over blue upholstery with a black soft top. Equipment includes Series I-style covered headlights, 15″ wire-spoke wheels, a four-speed manual transmission, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. Additional work in 2025 included floor repairs, replacement of the torsion bars, installation of adjustable shock absorbers, and revisions to the audio system. This XKE roadster is now offered with tools, a top boot, and Alabama registration in the seller’s name. The car was refinished in blue in the 1970s, and reportedly came from the factory in red. Exterior details include a black soft top, Series I-style glass-covered headlights, a louvered clamshell hood, wraparound chrome bumpers, dual bullet-style mirrors, triple windshield wipers, and dual exhaust outlets.
