1968 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40

1968 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 with its original 3.8 straight six and original 3 on the tree transmission. This is an uncut, unmolested original 2 owner FJ40. The original owner owned the FJ until 2013 at which time he passed away and it moved into a Toyota collection. I have the original dealer bill of sale and original window sticker (see photo). Painted in its original color “red”, this is a beautiful FJ with NO rust NO blisters and NO issues. This is an all original metal FJ and NOT a bondo bucket. Manual front and rear disk brakes (the fronts are factory original and the rear were added on by previous owner) with manual steering and every thing works as it should. Paint is in excellent shape, very vibrant and laid nice and flat. The rear quarters, doors and top still have the factory dimples. You would be hard pressed to even find a handful of stone chips. NO scratches and NO dings. The body is nice and straight as you look down the side. The rear hatch, spare tire swing and fold out doors are all in beautiful shape, nice and painted. There is absolutely NO rust, rot or paint blisters on the FJ. The removable hard top is in mint condition. The underneath is as clean as the body. Rock solid and there is no hack patch jobs or rust issues. The engine bay is very clean and sanitary and presents well. It recently got an updated Painless Wire Harness. This means you will not have unreliable old wiring which could be a safety concern. The glass is all very nice, no scratches or hazing. The 3.8 motor is super healthy, fires right up, idles perfect, runs cool with great oil pressure. No smoke and no weird noises. SOUNDS AMAZING! The transmission and clutch all feel great and shift smooth. This FJ is an absolute delight to drive, amazingly fun as a beach cruiser. The interior is in excellent shape, no issues and everything works as it should. The whole interior is nice and painted. No rust issues or paint flaking, super clean. I would say its a 9.5 out of a 10. The original rear heater is still mounted but not hooked up. The seats including the fold down seats upholstery is in mint condition. The FJ has been gone through from front to back and needs nothing, it is 100% ready to go to a new home to be enjoyed. This FJ runs and drives beautiful and again, its an absolute blast to drive. Super tight, goes straight down the road, no rattles or shimmy’s and it will brake straight without pulling side to side. No vibrations just a fun cruiser. The BF Goodrich tires are brand new and the original dog dish style wheels are in excellent shape. An unmolested FJ is very hard to find especially being a one owner until 2013. Don’t miss out on this true collector piece! 207-400-5326
