1968 Volkswagen Transporter (Van) Base

1968 VW PORSCHE RACING SUPPORT VAN recreation. In the 60's, VW Panel buses were used to support various PORSCHE RACING efforts. In its early life this vehicle lived in mostly salt free OREGON, resulting in limited rust contamination. It was refinished matching its original livery of Neptune Blue with Navy Blue interior trim. The 1600 cc engine was reportedly rebuilt by the previous owner. It has been adorned in vinyl lettering with the "PORSCHE" logo and the words: "RENNDIENST" (racing service) and STUTTGART - ZUFFENHAUSEN (location of PORSCHE headquarters). The bus has been lowered 2 inches and wears PORSCHE style fuchs wheels with disc brakes all around from a PORSCHE 944. New balljoints, tierods, and shiftrod bushings update the suspension system. This bus runs and drives as it should.
