Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS custom convertible restomod is powered by a GM Performance LS3 engine with a Magnuson supercharger paired with a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a 9-inch rear end with 3.90 Positraction gears. It is built on a complete Art Morrison subframe and suspension system with four-link rear suspension and four-way adjustable QA1 coilovers. The undercarriage features powder-coated components, Satin Black finishes and floors finished in Satin Black Raptor Liner. Stopping is handled by four-wheel Wilwood disc brakes with six-piston front calipers, four-piston rear calipers and two-piece slotted rotors, along with an electric parking brake. The body underwent a two-year frame-off rotisserie restoration and is finished in factory-coded LeMans Blue with a color-matched Endura front bumper. Exterior equipment includes custom two-piece forged Billet Specialties Fury wheels in a polished finish, measuring 18x9 in front and 19x12 at the rear, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 225/40/18 front and 305/30/19 rear tires. Additional features include a black canvas convertible top with a glass rear window, Detroit Speed electric hideaway headlights, Detroit Speed electric wipers, power mirrors, and a power top. The black interior features custom bucket seats with added bolstering wrapped in 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Deluxe interior material, Dakota Digital gauges, a Dakota Digital cruise-control system, a tilt steering column, and a Vintage Air climate-control system. A hidden audio system incorporates a factory-style Autosound Bluetooth radio with auxiliary connectivity, while the cruise control is concealed in the factory pull-down ashtray. An X44 car, it is coded TR 711/71 PNT. The two-year build was handcrafted by Dan Brant, a five-time MCACN Diamond Concours Gold Award-winning restorer. The sale includes receipts, two binders containing a build log, and documentation of parts and work completed, along with build and progress photos. It was accepted for MCACN November 2026 Blue Ribbon 1,000 Point Restomod judging.
