1969 Dodge A108 Van 318

This 1969 Dodge A108 van was purchased by the seller’s stepfather in 1972, and it was gradually customized over the decades. Powered by a 318ci V8 linked to a three-speed automatic transmission, the van has been repainted in silver with red flame-style accents. Coined “Clouded Judgement”, the vehicle has a collection of multi-color LED lights that earned it Best of Show in the Bright & Shine event at the 50th National Truck-In held in Sterling, Colorado, in July 2023. An airbrushed outer-space theme adorns the exterior of the Dodge, and sliding-glass doors have been fitted in place of the passenger-side rear doors. Other equipment includes a power-retractable bubble-style roof window, a pop-up sunroof, custom bumpers, a receiver hitch, and a reverse camera as well as American Racing 15″ wheels, an Edelbrock intake manifold, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and auxiliary fuel tanks. The interior features a custom walnut dashboard, front bucket seats, a rear captain’s chair, wood paneling, and patterned red carpeting as well as an aftermarket audio system with numerous speakers and amplifiers. This custom Dodge van is now offered by the seller on behalf of his late stepfather’s estate with service records, awards, old photos of the vehicle, and a Montana title in the stepfather’s name. Previously green, the van has been repainted multiple times since 1972, most recently in the mid-2010s. The airbrushed red flame-style paintwork around the headlamps and down the sides and the interstellar motif on the upper side panels was applied by a Missoula, Montana, tattoo artist named Detail Dave over a base of silver, with black lower portions.
