Description
This is a real 1969 Plymouth Road Runner convertible (VIN RM27; not a Satellite clone). It is one of only 769 convertible 4 speed Road Runners built for the 1969 model year. It has the numbers matching 383, optioned with a 4 speed transmission (D21) and 3.55 Sure Grip 8-3/4" performance axle package (A36). It is an original red/black car (R6/V3X), optioned with air grabber (N96) and performance hood paint (V21) featuring the correct Organisol textured paint. It has been restored to mostly original with a few mild safety/reliability upgrades including: radial redline tires (bias ply redline spare in trunk); sealed Optima Redtop AGM battery; Mopar Performance electronic ignition kit; high torque mini starter. This is an excellent example of a desirably optioned Road Runner which I have owned for 27 years. It has a clean title in my name, and there is no evidence of any accidents before or during my ownership. It is a rust free, well maintained older restoration, restored through the late 90's to early 2000's, and purchased by me out of San Diego California in 1999. It is a solid #2 condition vehicle. Hagerty valuation currently listed at $91k; asking $79k. Note: New photos added 7/28 per request, primarily to show condition of floors, which are extremely solid and rust free, with no undercoating to hide any issues. Last collage photo is from the previous owner, taken in the 90’s, while body/paint work was underway.
