Offered from The Thoroughbred Motorsports Collection of Dr. Karl Hens, this lot includes a pair of SSI stainless steel heat exchangers in new old stock condition, accompanied by a genuine Porsche factory sport exhaust date coded May 1974. This set of heat exhangers is specific to a Mechanically Fuel Injected application, as the left side unit features the appropriate snorkel.

SSI heat exchangers are widely regarded as the gold standard in replacement Porsche 911 heat exchangers — constructed from high-grade stainless steel for improved longevity, exceptional durability, and improved performance over the original mild steel units, while maintaining correct period appearance and fitment. These specific heat exchangers are in NOS condition, and were built prior to 2012, at which point the company was sold and production quality decreased. When combined with the included factory sport exhaust, the pairing also delivers an enhanced exhaust tone. The factory sport exhaust adds a period-correct and increasingly scarce element to what is already a compelling lot.
