Description
This custom 1970 Chevrolet Camaro is powered by a supercharged LSA V-8 engine paired with a 4L80E automatic transmission. Completed in 2017 as part of the four-car Tabernacle Car Collection and known as "Incense," this Camaro underwent a complete frame-off restoration and was constructed as a modern Pro-Touring restomod. The chassis features a Detroit Speed hydroformed front frame and QuadraLink rear suspension system, with power delivered through a Ford 9-inch rear end equipped with Moser 3.70 gears. Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes provide stopping power. A custom 3-inch exhaust system terminates through the left and right rear quarter-panels and features Borla ATAK mufflers. The Camaro rides on staggered 18-inch front and 19-inch rear Boze Clutch Concave wheels wrapped in 275/35 front and 345/30 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The body is finished in custom Sikkens paint and features Kindig door handles. The custom interior by Shelby Trim incorporates leather bucket seats, a leather-trimmed dashboard, center console and package tray, along with coordinated accent colors, a custom-fabricated partial roll cage and rear storage consoles. Additional equipment includes New Vintage gauges, Vintage Air climate control, a Pioneer audio system, Viper GPS alarm system and Optima battery. The build was completed by Busta Design, Pratt & Miller Restorations and Browny's Custom Paint, and was displayed at the 2017 SEMA Show and 2018 Detroit Autorama.
