1970 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS

Vehicle Description 1970 Chevrolet Camaro $94,995 The 1970 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS stands as a timeless symbol of American muscle and style, a car that captures the essence of raw performance wrapped in iconic design. This particular Camaro carries the soul of racing pedigree, powered by a 502 V8 engine built by Scott Shafiroff, a legend known for NHRA Pro Stock competition and engine mastery. The blend of vintage looks and modern upgrades makes this one a standout on any road. With a professional restoration to its original Cranberry Red factory color and a full build sheet verifying its RS/SS heritage, this Camaro demands attention and respect. Step inside the cabin and feel the embrace of a carefully restored black houndstooth deluxe interior, complete with bucket seats that combine vinyl and cloth for authentic period comfort. The dash remains true to its roots with original-style gauges and a tilt SS steering wheel, while added aftermarket switches provide modern convenience discreetly tucked into the lower dash. The roll bar adds a hint of race-inspired safety and style, making every drive a tactile, immersive experience. Under the hood, the heart of this beast is a 502 cubic inch V8 highlighted by GM performance aluminum heads and a high-rise stealth intake manifold. Fueled by a Sniper EFI system, this engine delivers a commanding rumble and instant throttle response, paired with a smooth 4-speed automatic transmission. The power is efficiently managed by a 9-inch rear axle and Moser disc brakes at all four corners, ensuring this Camaro stops as confidently as it launches. Doug's powder-coated exhaust headers and a Pypes dual exhaust system add to the aggressive soundtrack, while the upgraded cooling system with electric water pump and dual electric fans keeps everything running cool under pressure.
