Vehicle Description 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle $359,970 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6 Convertible, Rare Misty Turquoise, High-End Restoration, Original Sheet Metal, LS6 Correct Components This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6 Convertible represents one of the most striking and desirable muscle cars ever produced, restored to a very high standard with an incredible level of detail and accuracy. Finished in the rare and beautiful Color Code 34 Misty Turquoise, this car immediately commands attention and stands out as one of the more uncommon and desirable color combinations available in 1970. Complementing the stunning exterior is the rare Code 790 Ivory Bucket Seat Interior along with the A-code White Convertible Top. The contrast between the Misty Turquoise paint, white SS stripes, ivory interior, and white top creates an unforgettable appearance that perfectly captures the bold styling of Chevrolet’s most legendary muscle car year. The restoration of this Chevelle was performed by an individual experienced in LS6 Chevelle restorations, and it shows throughout the car. The vehicle retains all of its original sheet metal and original floor pans, an extremely important factor for collectors who value authenticity and proper restoration practices. Finding a Chevelle Convertible restored at this level while still retaining its original sheet metal is becoming increasingly difficult. Under the hood sits a freshly rebuilt LS6 512 casting engine that has been carefully assembled with correct LS6 components. The transmission has also been freshly rebuilt, and the drivetrain features the correct components expected in a proper LS6 restoration including the correct style rear end and LS6-specific parts throughout. Every effort was made to ensure the car reflects how an LS6 Chevelle should be equipped and presented. While there is no build sheet present to fully authenticate the car as a factory LS6, the quality of the restoration and the correctness of the parts used speak volumes. If documentation such as a build sheet were available, the value conversation surrounding this car would be significantly higher. Instead, this Chevelle presents an opportunity to acquire an extremely high-quality LS6-spec Convertible that was restored with great attention to authenticity, correct parts, and craftsmanship. The car delivers the raw muscle car driving experience through a 4-speed manual transmission, paired with the legendary LS6 platform that made the 1970 Chevelle one of the most feared performance machines of its era. The vehicle also retains the proper performance features including the cowl induction hood, tachometer and gauge package, bucket seats with center console, factory smog equipment, and the desirable F41 suspension package. Rolling on correct 14-inch SS wheels wrapped in Firestone Wide Oval tires, the stance is exactly what you would expect from a properly restored Chevelle. The presentation is show-quality and reflects the kind of restoration that requires significant investment, knowledge, and dedication. This is an expensive car, but it is also a car that received a restoration worthy of that price point. Between the original sheet metal, correct LS6 components, freshly rebuilt LS6 engine, rebuilt transmission, and overall quality of the work performed, it represents a very rare opportunity in the muscle car market. The question becomes simple: where do you find another one restored like this with these rare colors and features?
