Vehicle Description 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS $81,970 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, Code 25 Astro Blue, 396 Big Block, Muncie 4-Speed, Air Conditioning Few muscle cars have the presence, reputation, and lasting appeal of a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, and this example delivers the classic combination enthusiasts continue to look for. Finished in its correct Code 25 Astro Blue, this Chevelle has the unmistakable look that made the 1970 model year one of Chevrolet’s most iconic designs. The deep blue exterior works beautifully with the aggressive SS styling, black interior, and traditional muscle-car stance. Under the hood is a strong-running 396 cubic-inch Big Block V8 paired with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. This is exactly the type of drivetrain combination that makes a classic Chevelle so enjoyable to own. The four-speed gives the car that true old-school muscle-car driving experience, while the Big Block provides the sound, torque, and character people expect from a genuine American performance car of this era. The engine compartment is also equipped with an aluminum radiator to help manage cooling, making this Chevelle well suited for regular cruising and weekend enjoyment. Inside, the car features a clean black bucket seat interior with a sport steering wheel and tilt steering column. The combination gives the cabin a proper performance-oriented feel while still offering plenty of comfort for longer drives. A RetroSound radio adds modern audio convenience while maintaining a classic appearance. The Chevelle is also equipped with air conditioning. As with any vintage vehicle, A/C operation and temperature should be confirmed prior to purchase. Stopping performance is improved with power front disc brakes, giving the car a more confident feel behind the wheel. The Chevelle sits on classic 14-inch SS wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised white-letter tires, completing the traditional muscle-car appearance perfectly. Most importantly, this car runs and drives great. It has the look, sound, equipment, and driving character that make these Chevelles so desirable. Whether you are heading to a local car show, cruise-in, weekend event, or simply taking it out for an afternoon drive, this 1970 Chevelle SS is the kind of classic that is meant to be enjoyed. Without a build sheet or matching-numbers documentation, we have no way to verify whether this Chevelle was originally born as a factory SS. With its correct Astro Blue color, 396 Big Block, Muncie 4-speed, black bucket seats, air conditioning, power front disc brakes, and classic SS wheels, this is a very well-equipped example of one of Chevrolet’s most recognizable muscle cars.
