Description
I've owned this 70' Chevelle SS since 1984, I was in college and it wasn't until 1991 where I had time to start a lengthy restoration. I'm not sure if its an original LS6, I was told by the previous owner it is, No Paperwork, but it is an original big block 4 speed car, no AC. The car was in rough shape when I got it, and the previous owner wanted to keep the "Rock Crusher" 4 speed Muncie trans, so I purchased a built "Super T-10" during the rebuild process. It now sports and "Art Carr" turbo 400 manual valve body, reverse pattern, trans brake. Denny's Driveshaft. The restoration has been on and off for the past 30 plus years, as life happens, but mainly the paint, chassis, and interior has been completed about 15 years ago. The engine completed about 10 years ago. Engine is a MK-IV 4 bolt main 454, aligned honed with Moroso studs and Manley crank, Eagle H beam rods, Wiseco .060, 10.5/1 comp. Pistons, "468" "990" rectangle port open chamber heads with Manley severe duty stainless steel valves, 2.25" intake, 1.94 exhaust, Mild port and polish, Hooker Super Comp 2 1/8" headers and full 3" Exhaust, H-pipe. MSD ignition 7AL2 box, distributor. Aluminum 4 core radiator, Derale twin fans. Lunati roller rockers and Crane stud girdle. Moroso water pump, BHJ damper, mini high torque starter. Comp Cams flat tappet cam and lifters. Weiand Team G intake, Quick Fuel 950 carb. Harwood fuel cell, Holley fuel pump. 12 Bolt 4:56 Strange gears, spool, and 33 spline axles, C-clip eliminator, Wilwood brakes all 4 corners. Mickey Thompson tires, Centerline wheels. 8-pt. Roll bar. Hurst Shifter, Autometer Gauges. PPG single stage paint, Concept black. Original cowl induction hood being painted. Never raced or abused. Mostly in storage, Occasional car shows. Ask Questions, Meticulously Maintained. Must see to appreciate!! Will not be disappointed!! I luv this 70' Chevelle and its rich history, and the many years putting it together, but its time to find her a new home!!
