1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6 Tribute, 454 Big Block 4 Speed

Vehicle Description 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS $104,970 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6 Tribute, 454/450 HP Big Block, Muncie M22 4-Speed, Cranberry Red, Cowl Induction Few muscle cars command attention quite like a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, and this beautifully restored LS6 Tribute captures everything that made Chevrolet’s legendary big-block Chevelle one of the most celebrated American performance cars ever built. Finished in stunning Cranberry Red with Black Racing Stripes, this Chevelle has the unmistakable presence of a true American muscle car. The high-end paintwork is in excellent condition, showing beautifully across the Chevelle’s iconic body lines. From its aggressive stance and functional Cowl Induction hood to the classic SS wheels and wide-oval tires, this is a car that looks right from every angle. Under the hood is where this Chevelle really comes alive. Power comes from a 454 cubic-inch Big Block V8 built to LS6-style 450-horsepower specifications, delivering the kind of sound, torque, and raw performance that made the LS6 name legendary. This vehicle is represented as an LS6 Tribute and is not being represented as a factory-born LS6 car. The engine and transmission feature restoration restamps, an important distinction for collectors and enthusiasts. Backing the big-block is the transmission every serious muscle-car enthusiast wants: a Muncie M22 4-Speed Manual Transmission. Known throughout the muscle-car world as the legendary “Rock Crusher,” the M22 is the perfect companion to the 454. Power is sent through a stout 12-Bolt Posi-Traction Rear End, giving this Chevelle a drivetrain combination that is every bit as impressive as its appearance. Open the door and you're greeted by a beautiful Black Bucket Seat Interior that perfectly complements the Cranberry Red exterior. The cockpit has the purposeful, driver-focused feel that made the Chevelle SS such an icon, complete with factory-style tachometer and gauges. Grab the shifter, look over that long Cowl Induction hood, and there is absolutely no mistaking what kind of car you're sitting in. The Functional Cowl Induction Hood adds both performance character and one of the most desirable visual elements found on a 1970 Chevelle. The exterior is completed by classic 14-inch SS wheels wrapped in Firestone Wide Oval tires, giving the car the correct period muscle-car stance rather than an overly modernized appearance. This tribute was built to capture that experience—the big-block power, four-speed transmission, 12-bolt Posi rear, Cowl Induction, bucket-seat interior, SS wheels, stripes, and unmistakable attitude. This isn't simply a good-looking Chevelle. It has the engine, the 4-speed, the stance, the colors, and the equipment that enthusiasts look for. The Cranberry Red paint absolutely pops against the Black stripes, while the Firestone Wide Ovals and 14-inch SS wheels give it the period-correct appearance that makes the entire package work. For the enthusiast who wants the look and driving experience of one of Chevrolet's most legendary muscle cars without the price associated with a documented, numbers-matching LS6, this Chevelle presents an outstanding opportunity. Big Block. Four Speed. Cowl Induction. Posi-Traction. Cranberry Red. It is difficult to put together a more iconic combination than this.
