Description
This 1970 Dodge Charger 500 was purchased by the seller in 2012 from its second owner, who had stopped driving the car in 1981. A subsequent 10-year refurbishment involving all of the vehicle’s systems was completed in 2022. The body has been repainted in metallic blue over a black vinyl interior, and the rebuilt 383ci V8 is linked to a rebuilt four-speed manual transmission and a Sure Grip differential. Features include a black vinyl roof, hideaway headlamps, Magnum 500–style 15″ wheels, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, front and rear anti-roll bars, Performance Online tubular upper control arms, Firm Feel adjustable strut rods, power steering, a center console, a Hurst pistol-grip shifter, and an aftermarket digital stereo as well as an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Holley Brawler carburetor, and a TTi exhaust system. This Charger is now offered with two binders of refurbishment records and a summarizing spreadsheet, pre- and in-process refurbishment photos, and transferable New York registration in the seller’s name. Finished from the factory in Dark Green Metallic (EF8), the car was stripped and repainted in Blue Me Away (WA388A, a 2010 General Motors color) in 2019 following replacement of the driver-side quarter panel, the driver-side fender, the trunk pan and drop downs, and other sheetmetal. The black vinyl top was sourced from Legendary Auto Interiors, the bumpers were rechromed, the windshield-wiper arms were rebuilt, and the windshield, weatherstripping, light harnesses, and door handles were replaced.
