My go to for the most amount of fun, great sounds and lots of grunt ...... the 6.3. Alas the old saying that the cost of upkeep for a 6.3 would make a rich man cry was kinda true. The politicking at Mercedes was fierce to build this "Banker's Hot Rod" it has been told. Thank goodness those crazy hot rodder engineers won out. I do agree with Jim_Rosenthal because the wood inserts are well done the interior sings like a magnificent symphony. Not to quibble but the restoration shop ought to have done the dash wood; it disgraces the car. The burl wood is the most attractive of the commonly offered veneers in this car. The new owner should have it removed and send it to Madera. Sadly, the fellow in NC who used to do them is no longer with us. His shop was terrific.
