Description
This 1970 Porsche 914-6 was acquired by the current owner approximately 36 years ago, and it has been modified with a 3.2-liter flat-six and a side shifter conversion for its 901 five-speed manual transaxle. The car has been repainted and fitted with fiberglass bumpers and rockers, flared rear fenders, and front and rear spoilers. It rides on 15″ phone-dial wheels with 911-specification suspension components, Turbo tie rods, and front and rear sway bars. The cabin houses aftermarket fixed-back bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl and corduroy along with multi-point harnesses, a roll cage, and a Kenwood cassette stereo. This 914-6 is now offered on dealer consignment with service records, the removed 2.0L flat-six, other spare parts, and a New Jersey title. Finished from the factory in Tangerine, the car received a replacement floor, jack point, and right longitudinal in the early 1990s and was reportedly repainted a shade of Hellrot the following year. Fiberglass bumpers and side skirts were installed at that time along with front and rear spoilers, and the rear fenders have been flared to accommodate wider wheels. The front bumper, spoiler, fenders, and hood were repainted in 2024, and the seller notes that the color is a slightly lighter shade compared to the surrounding panels. Additional equipment includes LED headlight bulbs, a black removable Targa top, black sail panels, a driver-side mirror, and Porsche script on the lower body panels. Bubbling and other blemishes are pointed out by the seller in the gallery.
