Description
The Subaru 360 2-door Coupe is a very important car in Japanese automobile history and is known as Subaru's first mass produced automobile. Launched in the Japan home market in 1958. the 360 stayed in production for 13 years until 1971. This car helped to offer affordable transportation and to mobilize Japan's population through the freedom of owning a car. The Subaru 360 is affectionately known as Japan’s “People’s Car” in the Post-World War II era. Smaller in size than a Volkswagen Beetle, the Subaru 360 was one of the very first “kei cars” which had tax and benefits from the Japanese government based on size and engine displacement.
