Description
This custom 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is powered by a new GM Performance 454ci V-8 crate engine paired with a new Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. The engine features a front serpentine accessory drive, MSD ignition, Chevrolet-scripted valve covers and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. Long-tube headers feed into a dual exhaust system. The rear suspension features traction bars, while steering is handled by a Borgeson power steering system. Braking is provided by power front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. The Camaro rides on 18-inch U.S. Mags aluminum wheels wrapped in Nitto NT555 G2 tires. The body was professionally prepared and refinished in Shadow Gray Metallic paint. Exterior features include a cowl hood, front air dam, chrome bumpers, chrome rocker moldings, rear spoiler and billet hood hinges. The custom interior features black and gray leather bucket seats, matching door panels and headliner, and a custom center console extending from front to rear. Wool carpeting and new gauges were also installed. Additional equipment includes Classic Auto Air climate control and a three-spoke D-shaped MOMO steering wheel. The trunk is finished to match the interior. The car had just 18,000 miles showing on the odometer when the full restoration and custom build began. Since completion, it has been driven approximately 2,092 miles.
