Description
This 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu sport coupe, dubbed “Black Widow,” is a custom build that was acquired by Miami Heat President and Hall of Fame Coach Pat Riley in 2014, and subsequently received over $80k in updates by Walters Engineering beginning the same year. The car is finished in black with matte black stripes and body-color bumpers, and it is powered by a fuel-injected 502ci V8 linked with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle. The car rides on adjustable Viking coilovers and Global West control arms, and other equipment includes staggered-diameter Boze wheels, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, pillar-mounted side mirrors, and a custom exhaust system. Cabin comforts consist of Vintage Air climate control, power windows, black leather front bucket seats, a custom center console, a Hurst shifter lever, and a concealed audio system. This Chevelle is now offered on dealer consignment by The Barn Miami — a BaT Local Partner — with service records and a clean Florida title. The body was refinished in black with matte black center stripes and a matching roof finish during the build. Exterior elements include a raised-cowl hood secured with locking pins as well as a black-finished front grille, body-color bumpers, pillar-mounted side mirrors, and a custom dual exhaust system with polished oval finishers.
