1971 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible

This restored 1971 Oldsmobile 442 convertible is powered by a rebuilt matching-numbers 455ci Rocket V-8 engine equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and paired with a rebuilt Turbo 400 three-speed automatic transmission. The matching-numbers rear end has also been rebuilt. Additional equipment includes power steering and a dual exhaust system with dual outlets. Braking is handled by power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums. The body was refinished in brown and features a power-operated white soft-top, quad headlights, chrome bumpers, 442 badging, wheel-arch moldings and dual side mirrors. The body-color 14-inch Super Stock III wheels are wrapped in 225/75 BFGoodrich Silvertown red-line radial tires. The interior features white vinyl upholstery on the front bucket seats and rear bench, complemented by coordinated door panels, black carpeting and trim. A center console incorporates a storage compartment and wood-grain trim. Additional interior equipment includes air conditioning, a Custom Autosound digital stereo unit and retractable lap belts. A four-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, analog clock, fuel-level gauge and warning lamps. The vehicle has undergone an interior and exterior restoration.
