1972 Buick GS

72 Buick GS Convertible, 350 V8, 4-Speed, 1 of 39 Built! Fully Restored! This 1972 Buick GS Convertible is an exceptionally rare and fully documented muscle car, representing one of only 39 factory GS 350 4-speed convertibles built for the 1972 model year. As authentic as they come and accompanied by Sloan Museum documentation, this GS stands proudly as a true collector-grade example—one that has benefited from a meticulous, ground-up restoration and even earned a Goodguys Award of Excellence, underscoring its outstanding quality. Under the hood sits Buick's potent 350 cubic inch V8, paired with the highly desirable Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, making this one of the most unique driving experiences of the early '70s Buick lineup. A 10-bolt rear axle puts the power to the pavement, while factory options such as air conditioning, power steering, and power front disc brakes add comfort and drivability rarely found in muscle cars of this era. The added cruise control and Rallye Ride Control Suspension further enhance its road manners, making it an ideal combination of performance and refinement. Finished in Regal Black with a matching black power convertible top, the car presents with an unmistakably bold and elegant look. The interior is just as impressive, featuring a white vinyl split-bench seat that provides a striking contrast to the deep black exterior. A top boot is included, completing the classic convertible presentation for cruises or show display. The stance is completed with 15-inch chrome Rallye wheels, giving the GS its signature Buick muscle-car appearance. Everywhere you look—from the paintwork to the trim, mechanical components, and interior—this GS reflects the benefits of its detailed restoration. The car is exceptionally well-sorted, both cosmetically and mechanically, and remains faithful to its factory configuration while showcasing the craftsmanship of its rebuild. With its rarity, documentation, award-winning restoration, and stunning color combination, this 1972 Buick GS Convertible is an opportunity rarely seen on the market. A beautifully restored, highly desirable, and extremely scarce piece of Buick performance history, fully ready to show, drive, and enjoy.
